2023 sees 27001 for Aqualogic!
June 30, 2023Aqualogic are delighted to announce the continuation of their work with Severn Trent supplying water conservation services to the non-household market.
Aqualogic were originally appointed to carry out a pilot project in April last year and successfully tendered to win the main contract for supplying both non household water efficiency visits as well as the retrofit water efficiency products that may be required to help businesses save water. The contract is set to last until the end of the current Amp, March 2025, and will see Aqualogic visiting over 1,500 businesses a year.
Ben Rice, Aqualogic managing director said: “We are delighted to continue this journey with the team and stakeholders at Severn Trent; the non-household sector is a massively important area for water saving and has been largely overlooked since the introduction of the retail market in England and Wales. It’s refreshing that Severn Trent are actively targeting this area again for water efficiency.”
The non-household water efficiency visit form part of Severn Trent’s £566 million Green Recovery programme – a series of ambitious and innovative projects that will help combat the challenges of climate change and explore how water supplies can be secured for the future.
Josie Veissid, from Severn Trent commented: “We know the last few years have been tough on local businesses, and with the rising cost of living, we want to help. That’s why we’re offering local businesses free water audits and water saving solutions to help detect and resolve issues that could be costing you money – such as a leaky loo or dripping tap.
“Aqualogic submitted a strong tender proposal, backed up by their current work in this area with us, which resulted in their appointment, and we look forward to continuing and further developing this exciting project together.
Severn Trent will be predominantly targeting Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire, offering visits which will be carried out by a qualified plumber who will review current water usage, look for faulty and leaking plumbing assets, make recommendations for water saving products and then return to install the products and make the repairs resulting in a saving of anything up to 20%. This is an entirely free service to the water customer and given the current economic climate, will be extremely beneficial to companies of all sizes and shapes.
